Quality Assurance and Improvement

We support child welfare agencies and community-based family support organizations in developing continuous quality improvement/assurance systems. In our work, we focus on the hallmarks of effective quality assurance systems which include:

  • Assessment of practice and outcomes
  • Data utilization to affect improved policy and practice
  • Broad engagement of internal and external partners

Action for Child Protection has established comprehensive fidelity criteria for the SAFE Model, and is able to partner with child welfare agencies to assess program performance and outcomes through the lens of that fidelity criteria. Standard review systems and tools have been developed specifically for the SAFE Model.

We have also developed a host of other program assessment and review tools for other child welfare and community-based family support organizations. We customize our work to align with program criteria and best practice.

We routinely develop and host external system, process, and case reviews for a variety of agencies in an effort to provide external expertise and to formalize feedback for agency improvement purposes and efforts.
